Highlights from the Wedding

Highlights of 8/8/08

·        Getting ready at Tessa’s house with some of my best girl friends and taking pictures at Lake Sherwood with the bridesmaids and parasols.

·        Amanda making a last minute samba costume at Tessa’s house with safety pins, boas and fabric.

·        Laughing (a little too loudly) with the bridesmaids in the bridal room right before we were supposed to walk out into the church.

·        Karine and Veronique helping me go to the bathroom in my huge puffy wedding dress right before the ceremony.

·        Seeing Seylom’s standing at the alter waiting for me to walk down the aisle.

·        Alone in the car with Seylom on our way to Sherwood Country Club.

·        The groomsmen throwing Seylom in the air for the photographer.

·        Jenifer announcing the bridal party (last minute decision!) and pronouncing everyone’s names perfectly.

·        Sara and Loic’s entrance into the dining room (I couldn’t really see the other bridesmaids and groomsmen entrances so I can’t wait to see the video!).

·        The toasts.

·        Waiting “backstage” right before my entrance for the samba performance—I was peeking through the door behind the stage and watching everyone watching the show.

·        Everyone lined up on the dance floor behind Conrad as he taught the salsa lesson.

·        Seeing everyone meeting each other, getting along and dancing together.

·        Catching up with so many wonderful friends and family that I haven’t seen in so long—and having them all together in one place!
